Barry Sharp's Jaguar powered Fiat at Castlereagh Dragway 1965.
Barry Sharp commenced racing at Towac Park in a Jag powered Wolsley 6/80, when the Drags started at Castlereagh in March 1965 Sharp was there in this Fiat. He made a name for himself in this fiat and then built a Ford powered Studebaker called Stripteaser that was a very successful machine. Sharp then built an Austin A 90 Sports Sedan using the Ford engine and Jag trans from the Stripteaser. The Austin was lost in a fire he then put together a Mark 2 Ford Zephyr and later a 1960 Falcon using the mighty Y Block Ford and Jag transmission. His Jaguar Sports Sedan carried him to the first Australian Sports Sedan Championship in 1970.
