In my photo pictured here, I am sitting in the ex Garry Willmington 1985 Jaguar XJS, now owned by Tony Pallas (All Car Classic Restorations in Brookvale NSW).

This car was converted to Group A specs by Garry Willmington to run in the new Group A category from 1985. Garry was partnered by Peter Janson in the Bathurst James Hardie 1000 in 1985. He finished 14th overall, behind the John Goss / Armin Hahne XJS entered by TWR.

Garry also ran the car in the Australian Touring Car Championships and the AMSCAR series in 1985/86.

Tony Pallas has owned the car for a number of years racing it in the Classic Group A & C series for original cars in those series and now the Heritage Touring Cars series, which is also for only original cars.

I have been fortunate in meeting Tony and joining him at some races through my membership with the Jaguar Drivers Club of Australia.
